IT Project Manager

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Project Manager to lead technology initiatives and provide hands-on IT support across our organization. This role is responsible for planning and delivering IT and digital health projects, maintaining and improving IT infrastructure, and supporting staff with reliable, secure technology solutions.The IT Project Manager works closely with leadership, staff, and external partners to ensure technology systems support clinical care, operational efficiency, and organizational growth.

Job Type: Full time on site

Pay range : $58,000 – $66,500 annually

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Be on-site in-person for work
  • Lead and implement complex, multi-year IT and digital health projects
  • Define project goals, technical requirements, timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain project plans, documentation, reports, and summaries
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to IT-related policies, procedures, and systems
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, including vendors and health system partners
  • Facilitate meetings with staff and project teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery
  • Contact external vendor for pricing and order computer hardware, software and coordinate activities of 3rd party service providers

IT Operations & Technical Support

  • Design, purchase, install, configure, maintain, and repair IT infrastructure
  • Provide IT support for computer, software, network, and communication systems
  • Facilities deployment of new equipment such as copier/printer and phone equipment that requires integration with the computer network.
  • Assist in maintaining and upgrading hardware and software to reflect advances in technology and changing organizational needs
  • Ensure all help desk requests/tickets are resolved and closed in accordance with IT Standard Procedure
  • Provide technical support to staff and clients as required
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user-access issues
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical and workflow-related IT challenges
  • Advise leadership on IT infrastructure, security, and system planning

Systems, Security & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and maintain secure IT environments, including data encryption and cybersecurity best practices
  • Ensuring that email, security applications, file server, workstations, printers are secured and functioning at the optimum level
  • Assist with server, application, and network installations and upgrades
  • Take part in emergency preparedness/disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution
  • Conduct system analytics, performance monitoring, and reporting
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in health care IT and AI tools
Education and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or IT project delivery
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide IT orientations and training
  • Demonstrated experience managing IT projects and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with desk side and back-end support
  • Knowledge of web design and social media management is considered an asset.
  • MSCE and/or CNE equivalent will be an asset
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS environments
  • Experience with open-source software
  • Experience with network infrastructure
  • Experience with VoIP systems, Active Directory, and user access management
  • Knowledge of IT security, data encryption, and security best practices
  • Experience with Linux-based servers, virtualization, and system administration
  • Exposure to or experience with Python, Bash scripting, and SQL
