Nurse Practitioner - Michael Kang

Michael Kang is a Nurse Practitioner with a designation in Primary Health Care. He has received his HBSc in Life Sciences through the University of Toronto. Proceeding that, he attended York University for both his BScN and MScN. Since becoming an RN in 2016, he has worked at North York General Hospital with a diverse patient population across a variety of hospital specialties.

Since becoming an NP in 2021, he has continued to hone his craft in nursing and medical care, developing a passion for gerontology, palliative care and symptom management, and wound care. He continues to further his knowledge by partaking in continuing education courses, involving topics such as aesthetic injectables, cognitive behavioural therapy, and POCUS.

When Michael is not working, you’ll often see him sitting outside on a patio, or running through the streets and trails of Toronto. He has a passion for fitness and running, and aims to complete an Ironman in the coming years. He also is an avid traveler, having been to Hawaii, Austria, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, with many more countries to come.
