Depression, anxiety, and emotional distress can significantly impact mood, motivation, sleep, concentration, relationships, and daily functioning. Individual psychotherapy provides structured, evidence-informed support for those experiencing both short- and long-term mental health challenges.
Through confidential, individualized psychotherapy, clients gain insight into the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral patterns contributing to their symptoms while developing healthier coping strategies and emotional regulation skills.

14+ with minor or moderate depression/Anxiety, do not have extended health insurance

Initial Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning
To begin, a structured therapeutic assessment is taken to explore symptoms, personal history, current stressors, and treatment goals. This process guides the development of an individualized care plan.
Individual Psychotherapy Sessions
Provides medication reviews, insulin education, and recommendations for dosage or dose adjustments in collaboration with a Family Health Team doctor. The clinical pharmacist also helps prevent avoidable complications as part of the GWFHT.
Skill Development & Coping Strategies
We will provide practical tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, improve motivation, and strengthen daily functioning.
These check-ins act as regular review of symptom changes, adjustment of therapeutic goals, and development of strategies to maintain long-term emotional stability. This program supports individuals experiencing: major depressive disorder, persistent depressive symptoms, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic symptoms, adjustment-related stress, mood instability, chronic stress and emotional overwhelm.

How long does psychotherapy last?
Individual psychotherapy sessions are typically 6 sessions, each session lasts 45 mins. Maxim referral 2 times a year.

Yes. All sessions are confidential with standard professional exceptions relating to safety and legal obligations.
