Registered Chiropodist

Job Type: Part time. Work hours can include weekdays and rotational weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments and provide treatment for a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions.
Perform biomechanical assessments and gait analysis to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Deliver medical pedicures, callus care, nail care, and management of ingrown toenails, corns, warts, and fungal infections.
Provide diabetic foot care, including preventive care, monitoring, and education.
Perform minor surgical procedures as appropriate, including local anesthetic administration, partial or total nail avulsion, wart excision, and wart needling.
Educate patients about foot health and collaborate with them to develop individualized treatment plans.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support holistic patient care and program development.
Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices and evidence-based approaches in chiropody.

Education and Qualifications

Registered and in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
Authorized to practice to the full scope of chiropody.
Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based approaches to foot care.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to educate and engage patients effectively.
Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered in care delivery.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in English; fluency in additional languages reflective of the local community is an asset.
